Iulian graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Bucharest in 1995. He is the founder of Fine Law – Patrascanu & Associates. Prior establishing the Firm, he was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young Romania, from November 2001 to December 2005, Senior Legal Consultant for Arent Fox Kintner Plotkin & Kahn, PLLC in Bucharest, Romania, from June 1999 to November 2001. He also acted as a Legal Consultant for Taylor Joynson Garrett in Bucharest from November 1997 to June 1999. Iulian was a Principal Legal Adviser with the Bucharest Stock Exchange from December 1996 to November 1997 and a Legal Adviser with Fininvest SA from August 1994 to December 1996. He speaks English fluently.

Iulian has over 14 years’ experience advising local and multinational companies in Employment & Labour matters, Merger & Acquisition and Competition Council matters. Throughout his practice, Iulian was counsel to clients such as Ericsson, Unilever, Wipro Ltd, American Express Bank, Citibank, Romtelecom, Hewlett Packard, Impress France, British Telecom, Coca-Cola, Colgate Palmolive, Dubai Ports International, Mivan Kier, Globe Trade Center, Nutricia, Pfizer, Remco BV, Pantechniki SA, Shimizu Corporation, Iberia Airlines, Cisco, IDC Central Europe GmbH, Lloyds TSB Bank plc.

Iulian regularly advises clients in many litigation and non-litigation aspects of merger & acquisition and labour law, including merger plans, transactional documentation, commercial contracts, collective bargaining agreements; employee handbooks; compliance programs and personnel policies; employee benefit agreements and stock-option plans; collective dismissals, reductions in force and plant closings.

Iulian is the author of a number of articles in Romanian newspapers and journals dealing with commercial and employment -related matters.

Dana graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Bucharest in 1998. She is one of the founding partners of Fine Law – Patrascanu & Associates. Prior joining the Law Firm, she was Senior In-house Counsel of Romtelecom from July 2004 to August 2005, Chief Legal Consultant for La Dorna SA, from March 2003 to July 2004, and Associate Attorney for Arent Fox Kintner Plotkin & Kahn, PLLC in Bucharest, Romania, from January 2000 to March 2003. She specializes in corporate commercial, merger & acquisition, and regulatory matters. She speaks English fluently.

Dana has over 11 years of professional experience. Her main area of expertise is mergers and acquisitions, as well as designing efficient structures for acquisitions of Romanian companies.

Representative transactions include:

(i) lead counsel for the acquisition of a state-owned company (food industry);

(ii) managed the acquisition of 10,000 hectares in Calarasi County for the purpose of establishing an organic diary farm;

(iii) advised on product liability and labeling issues;

(iv) assisted a major multi-national company in a major acquisition of a privately owned group in Romania, including legal due diligence on the businesses and the preparation of the report,

(v) Drafting due diligence reports upon numerous state-owned Romanian companies included in the PSAL II privatization program;

(vi) Drafting due diligence report in the privatization of a state-owned bank.

Senior Lawyer

Mihaela graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Constanta in 2002. She is a senior lawyer of Fine Law – Patrascanu & Associates dealing with corporate & commercial contracts and intellectual property matters. Prior joining the Law Firm, she worked as a Commercial & IP Counsellor for Ozone Management International – an international pharmaceutical company from May 2006 to June 2009 and as a Senior Lawyer of one of the leading law firms specialised in IP, namely “Gheorghe Gheorghiu Law Office”. She speaks English fluently and French.

Mihaela has over 7 years of professional experience. Her main area of expertise is in corporate and commercial matters and IP related matters.
